the oswego east colorado trip

Colorado is the place to be if you’re a serious endurance athlete. Many of the best in the world will live and train in Colorado at some point in their preparation. The altitude, hills/mountains, flats, accessibility, and history are all advantageous characteristics.
Three things backing the Oswego East Colorado Training Trip

Goals - The boys have exceptionally high goals. Their training and the experiences must correspond with those goals.

Unity - This is a huge part of the development of our TEAM! Every athlete has a role. This trip allows our team to get away, discuss, and build towards what we want to accomplish during the upcoming season.

Memories - This is a VERY special trip that will provide memories that will last a lifetime.

2018 Trip

day 1 recap

Day one was a long night full of people trying to find the best way to cram into the van and us yelling at Luke for having to use the bathroom. Once everyone settled down after stopping at Iowa 80 the worlds largest truck stop, it was a quiet ride through the Iowa and Nebraska plains.

On day two of the trip we woke up as we were driving through the final parts of Nebraska and into Colorado. Once we were in Colorado many began to see mountains in the horizon for their first time ever. We arrive in Estes Park at about 11 and spent the afternoon shopping. Very quickly after we arrived at the YMCA of the Rockies we had an intense hill workout. We then ate dinner and explored the YMCA grounds before everyone settled down for the night.
